The Alumni Association of Loknete Balasaheb Thorat Arts, Commerce & Science College plays a pivotal role in the overall development of the institution. Our alumni are established in various fields such as industries, education, business, entertainment, academics, and social work. Many of our former students now hold reputable positions as managers, police constables, and assistant professors in esteemed institutions. Some are also pursuing higher education, furthering their academic journeys.
A shining example of our alumni success is Mr. Arun Dighe, who received the prestigious “Samaj Bhushan” Award from MP Sadashiv Lokhande for his contributions in socio-educational and religious fields.
Faculty members play a key role in engaging with the Alumni Association, ensuring a collaborative effort that contributes significantly to the college’s growth. Alumni are frequently invited as guests at various college events, such as career guidance programs, election awareness programs, tree plantation drives, and blood donation camps.
Strength of the Alumni Association
While the Alumni Association may not be financially strong, its members contribute actively by organizing and supporting a variety of events. Their presence at college functions strengthens collaboration between alumni and current students, making their involvement invaluable to the institution’s progress.
Assistant Professor Pathan S.H. serves as the appointed coordinator of the Alumni Association, ensuring smooth communication between alumni and the college administration.

- IQAC and CDC Membership: Alumni serve as key members in important committees like the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and College Development Committee (CDC).
- Blood Donation and Health Camps: The association organizes an annual Blood Donation Camp and plays a vital role in disaster management initiatives. Health check-up camps are also regularly conducted.
- Environmental Initiatives: Under the leadership of Chairman Vishal Vasant Gorde, the alumni organized a tree distribution program at the college campus, promoting environmental awareness.
- COVID-19 Relief Efforts: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alumni Association, in collaboration with the college, distributed homeopathic medicine (Arsenic Album) and raised awareness about health and safety measures.
- Support for NSS: Alumni actively support the National Service Scheme (NSS) camp and provide guidance to NSS volunteers, participating in various community programs and awareness drives.
- Felicitation of Meritorious Students: Alumni members, in collaboration with partial teaching staff, organize events to honor meritorious students.
- Publication of Memoirs: In collaboration with Friends Group, alumni annually publish memoirs, documenting the association’s activities and the memories of their time at the college.
Communication and Collaboration
The Alumni Association maintains a WhatsApp group for seamless communication with its members. Through this group, alumni are able to share updates, participate in events, and offer career guidance and placements to current students.
Though the financial contributions of the Alumni Association are modest, their impact is felt in the academic planning, career guidance, and placement opportunities they offer to students, enriching the overall college experience.
