About the Department

The Department of Political Science, established in 2008, is dedicated to providing a robust education in political science at both general and specialized levels. Affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, the department aims to nurture students into well-informed, responsible citizens with a strong understanding of constitutional and democratic values.

Through a comprehensive curriculum and a focus on political theories, philosophies, and ideologies, the department strives to create awareness about the political system and foster values such as democracy, equality, and fraternity among students.
