About the Department
The Department of Hindi, established in 2008, is dedicated to promoting Hindi, our national and official language. The department offers comprehensive undergraduate and add-on courses to enhance students’ knowledge and skills.
Hindi is our national and official language. It is not only the mother tongue of the majority of Indians but is also used by the Central Government as the official language. With a rich literary heritage, Hindi literature offers deep insights into Indian culture, history, and values.
The importance of Hindi has surged, providing various employment opportunities such as Hindi Officer and Translator roles in government offices, banks, and the LIC. In the era of globalization and commercialization, Hindi maintains its significance on an international level.
