Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
Vision
To develop systematics quality process in the college for evolving, enhancing and sustaining excellence in its academic and administrative practice and to set benchmarks for their periodic evaluation.
Mission
To develop a conscious, consistent and catalytic quality improvement system that encourage the pursuit of the staff and students of the college. To promote innovative practice to continually improve the effectiveness of the teaching-learning experience of the staff and students. To ensure a learner centric environment equipped with the latest techniques and technologies of teaching and sharing knowledge.
About IQAC
As per the guideline by The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) the institution has formed Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in July 2021 with an aim of quality sustence and enhancement the IQAC has been actively involved in developing a mechanism for conscious ,consistent and catalytic improment in the overall performance of the institution.
After the establishment of the IQAC, it has successfully channelised all efforts and measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence.
Aim and Objectives of IQAC
- To define quality parameters for the college.
- To work as catalyst for overall academic and administrative improvement of the institution.
- To create a desire among the stakeholder for pursuit of knowledge to acquire the skills and achieve excellence in teaching –learning.
- To monitor the quality aspects of the institution.
- To undertake quality related initiatives consultancy and training programme.
- To intervene necessary for quality enhancement.
- Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
- Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various society;
- Ensuring the adequacy, Maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
Functions of IQAC
Some of the function expected of the IQAC
- Development and application of quality benchmarks.
- Parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation.
- Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
- Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders.
- Organization of internal institutional workshops and seminars on quality improvement.
- Documentation of various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.
- Development and maintenance of an institutional database through MIS for maintaining institutional quality.
- Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audits and follow-up.
- Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report as per NAAC guidelines and parameters.
Quality Policy of IQAC
The College has a fully functional Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to continuosly improve quality as enhancement and sustain the good work of the institution.IQAC will facilitate the process of internalization of the quality and play a catalytic role in performance improvement of the institution.The IQAC will submit quality assurance reports to NAAC as self –reviewed progress reports.IQAC will create internal awareness on quality issue and also established credibility for the external quality evaluation.The College has a written mission statement or set of objectives that respect the autonomy,identity and integrity of the stakeholders.
- The college has a policy and associated procedures for the assurance of the quality and standards of their programme and awards.
- The college commits itself explicitly to the development of culture ,which recognise the important of quality.
- The college has formal mechanisms for the approval ,periodic review and monitoring of their programes.
- Students are assessed using published criteria,regulation and procedure which are applied consistently.
- The college assure that the teaching staff are qualified and competant to do so as they are available to those undertaking external reviews and commented upon in reports.
- College ensure that the resources available for the support of students learning are adequate and appropriate for each programme offered.
- The college would assure the Training and development on quality as well as other functional competencies of academic and academic staff which are crucial to continuous improment and development of a cultural of quality.
- The college has clear documentation concerning the self evaluation and the external evaluation.
- External quality assurance is a major activity of the college and that there existed a systematic approach to achieving the mission or objectives.
- Internal quality assurance cell of the college programme would be undertaken on a cyclical basis.The length of the cycle and the review procedures to be used would be clearly defined and published in advance.
- Quality assurance process which contain recommendation for action which require a subsequent action plan,will have a predetermined follow-up procedure which is implemented consistently.
